During my WSET Diploma studying I was searching for as many ways possible to fill my head with the required wine knowledge and in doing so I came across Elizabeth Schneider’s podcast Wine for Normal People.
I was hooked after the first episode and WFNP became a staple in my library of resources to stay updated on the world of wine.
Fast forward a couple of years, I’m now back in Melbourne having survived the Diploma and making my debut as a guest presenter on Wine for Normal People. My first episode with Elizabeth takes a closer look at the Yarra Valley and all it has to offer.
So check out my first podcast – a super fun and nerve wracking experience all in one – and let me know you thoughts!
Not all the wines we discuss are available outside of Australia, however there are a number of wines such as those from Giant Steps, Yarra Yering, Yering Station and De Bortoli that are available on the international market. And for the others? Well, you’ll just have to come and visit!
Happy Drinking!
Loved it and can’t wait to hear more insights into Aussie wine. It’s hard to find Yarra in the US but you’re making me thirsty!
Thanks Lauren! There are some links to the wineries we discussed here http://winefornormalpeople.com/ep-164-yarra-valley-of-australia-with-simone-madden-grey/ and you should be able to find info on where to get some of them in the US. Failing that, I look forward to sharing some with you later in the year! 😊
