Australia is doing it tough at the moment with communities across the country dealing with bushfires on a scale rarely seen. The long term effect on the people of Australia and the country’s industry has yet to be quantified and the wine industry is no exception. The immediate impact on local business and communities is significant and while there are several ways to support those affected by the fire, food and wine lovers may choose to show their support by buying directly from local providores and, when it is safe, visiting cellar doors.

Mildura, on the banks for the Murray River, offers a plethora for options for those who enjoy delicious food and tasty beverages. Check out the Victorian Emergency website before making any plans and when it is safe, get out there and enjoy all that Mildura has to offer. For my top tips, take a look at my article for the February/March 2020 edition of the Halliday Magazine.
